Pre-recording Your Presentation\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

If your session recording is saved as an MP4 recording, it doesn\u2019t matter what software you use to record your presentation; however, we\u2019ve found that Zoom is well-known by many and seems to be easy for most.\u00a0To\u00a0record your presentation, you must first download and install the Zoom client. Below you will find instructions to pre-record your presentation. Recordings should be uploaded\u00a0by September 17<\/span>th<\/span>, 2021 [no later than September 30<\/span>th<\/span>; if you are going to miss the final deadline of September 30<\/span>th<\/span>, please be sure to make the team aware by emailing\u00a0<\/span>support@fcomnow.com<\/span><\/a>].<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Zoom Recording Instructions<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Zoom.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. In your profile, click “Settings”, then “Recordings”. Be sure that Local Recordings is on.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. At the upper right corner, it will say \u201cHost a Meeting\u201d. Click on \u201cHost a Meeting with Video\u201d and\u00a0follow the instructions to download and run Zoom or wait for the meeting to generate.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Be sure that your audio and video are both on and working. The video is required\u00a0to\u00a0ensure a high-quality experience for the audience.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. The size of the webcam will be 224×126 pixels in the upper right corner.\u00a0 Once you start screen sharing, your video will move to the upper right-hand corner and may potentially cover text or images.\u00a0 Please adjust your presentation accordingly.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Become familiar with the Zoom tools available at the bottom of your screen.\u00a0We encourage the use of the embedded laser pointer during the recording.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Press the \u201cRecord\u201d button.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Select \u201cShare Screen\u201d and begin your presentation. As a reminder, your presentation should not exceed\u00a0your specified time slot.\u00a0If your presentation exceeds these time limits, it may be edited after receipt.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Once you have finished your presentation, you can select \u201cStop Record\u201d and then end the meeting, or simply end the meeting\u00a0—\u00a0which will stop the recording. It will begin to convert your video to your local system into three files: an .m4a, .m3u and .mp4 file.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Once the recording is complete, you will see three different files: .m4a, .m3u, and .mp4. You will only need to upload the .mp4 file as that file incorporates Audio, Camera and Content Slides (PowerPoint) all in a single file.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Uploading Your Presentation<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

    We\u2019ve extended the deadline to upload your presentation.\u00a0 You can click HERE to upload or find the link at the bottom of the fcomnow.com conference page under Speaker Presentation Upload. Simply drag and drop your .mp4 recording into the top of the box, along with your pptx presentation and any other handouts you would like to make available to virtual attendees.\u00a0 Make sure your recording is saved with the title of your presentation and your name to make it easy to match your recording to your session!     If you are presenting live, remotely or are planning to participate online during your presentation to interact with the virtual audience and answer questions, more information will follow.\u00a0 There will also be a speaker training session, the week prior to the meeting, to assure all our presenters are comfortable and have their technology set up for success!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
