In the mid-2000s, we introduced a simplified in-office procedure for the correction of nasal valve collapse. In 2015, we published the first article on safe and effective ablation of the septal swell body which has greatly improved nasal breathing in adults and children. We have learned the true path of nasal breathing within the nose from computational flow studies performed by our colleagues in Singapore and China. Based on these collective advances, we now have the first reported results demonstrating that our minimally invasive nasal surgery, used alone as the sole intervention, can cure OSA in 48.7% of adults, regardless of the severity of their apnea, BMI, and genger.
