Your Conference Agenda

If you are onsite at the Ritz-Carlton: download the FCOM conference app and click the agenda button, scroll the sessions and flag any sessions you want to attend to custom your personal agenda. You can also pick up the daily agenda by track at the Conference Registration Desk each morning.

In-Person & Virtual Assistance

The Help Desk will be staffed throughout the conference for both our in-person and virtual attendees. Onsite staff will be available to assist with in-person conference check-in and any questions related to the conference agenda, special events and the mobile app. Virtual Help Desk is staffed from 9 AM EST – 5PM EST within the virtual meeting lobby. If you need help and can’t find a desk, please email support@fcomnow.com or contact the onsite team at 615-587-0081.

Audiology CEU Information
Both onsite and virtual audiology attendees have the option to receive Academy CEUs. If you are onsite, pick up a copy of the FCOM 2021 Academy CEU Worksheet. It can also be found in the FCOM App! If you are a virtual attendee, download the worksheet HERE.

Submit Audiology CEU Credits

At the end of each approved session, attendees will be provided a course code. Each individual session CEU code will be required to confirm your attendance and process your credits at the end of the meeting. Attendees must complete the post-event CEU online form, including your first and last name, American Academy of Audiology Membership Number, CEU session codes and the assessment & evaluation questions. CEU forms must be submitted no later than Friday, November 12th. American Academy of Audiology CEU credits will be finalized and a confirmation email will be sent no later than January 10th.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

The Network of Medical Audiology Professionals is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of .28 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy’s Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology.

CME Information

Both onsite and virtual attendees have the option to receive continuing medical education credits.

In order to receive CME credit, the daily evaluations must be completed, along with your attestations!

Airport

Most major airlines offer flights to Fort Myers/Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). RSW is a 30 mile drive from the main conference resort hotel.

Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) is about 100 miles and typically just under a 2-hour drive.

Arrival & Departure
Specialty Workshops and Pre-convention courses kick-off on Friday morning, November 5th. General sessions begin at 1:30 PM EST. To maximize your time and take advantage of the course agenda, arrival no later than Thursday evening, November 4th is best. The meeting ends at 1:00 PM EST, Sunday, November 7.
Attire

“Conference: Attire for the conference is business casual.

Evening Out: Attire for the Friday, November 5th, Evening Out Event is Florida Resort Casual.
Beach Party: Attire for the Saturday, November 6th Beach Party is Beach Attire.

Naples is well known for fashion and amazing shopping, but you can pack comfortable, casual clothing and blend right in! Most restaurants do not require a formal dress code so we recommend resort casual for evening dining. You’ll definitely want to pack your swimming & sunning clothing including flip flops, bathing suits and cover ups, shorts, hats, etc. We do recommend bringing a light sweater for cooler evenings.

TSA Additional Packing Hints: When traveling, please remember that suitcases should be turned over to the airlines unlocked or secured with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approved locks. TSA opens suitcases at random. Damage to suitcases due to TSA security checks are the owner’s responsibility. To view a list of approved locks, please consult the TSA website. (https://www.tsa.gov)

Climate
November cools down in Florida with an average high temperature of 83° F. You will still find sun bathers at beaches and pools with mostly sunny days and low rainfall. The official hurricane season ends in November but luckily, Naples hasn’t had a named hurricane in many years and the weather tends to be mostly sunny during the day.

Ground Transportation
Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from one of the conference hotels, in addition to the main conference hotel.

Evening Out Event: Round-trip ground transportation will be provided between the conference hotel (Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort) and the event location. Drop-off after the event is over will return guests to main conference hotel.

Hotels

The main conference hotel is the Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort, Naples Florida. Additional conference hotels are: Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort and the Hilton Naples.

Once you have completed conference registration, you will receive the special link, included in your conference confirmation email, that provides access to conference hotels and special room rates.

Hotel rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will have limited capacity this year due to COVID, so please make sure to book early.

Naples Florida operates on the Eastern Standard Time Zone. When it is 12:00 PM in Naples, FL, it is:
12 PM New York (same time zone)
11 AM Chicago (1 hour earlier)
10 AM Denver (2 hour earlier)
9 AM Los Angeles (3 hours earlier)

Daylight saving time 2021 in United States ends at 2:00 AM on Sunday, November 7. There will be reminders during conference to help everyone remember the time change!

Travel Tips

If you are traveling to Naples, FL for the in-person event, be aware of the travel rules and recommended guidelines related to COVID-19. The Florida state website provides up to date information about travel in the state: https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/travelers. If you are flying, be sure to check with your airlines for additional guidelines.

How can I check if I am registered, or what should I do if I haven’t received my confirmation email?

You should receive a confirmation email from FCOM 2021 after registering. This email will have your confirmation number and a link to access your event profile. Please check your spam folder or contact the FCOM 2021 Support Team at support@fcomnow.com if you don’t see this email in your inbox.

Where can I browse event content?

We have over 120 speakers participating in this year’s FCOM 2021 program. Over the next few months, we will announce keynotes, special guests, general sessions,  workshops, demos, hands-on labs and other special events at FCOM 2021.  You will be able to search by keywords, session type and topics to start pre-planning your schedule. About a week prior to the meeting, you will receive an email that will help you Plan Your Experience – including building your personalize avatar and agenda.

Is there a cost to attend?

**Gain valuable skills and expertise with FCOM2021 by choosing from the in-person hybrid or virtual meeting experience. Registration for the FCOM 2021 Hybrid Annual Meeting includes access to over 150 education sessions, a Virtual Poster Hall, a Virtual Exhibit Hall and networking opportunities with colleagues. Registration will remain open through Friday, October 31st . The majority of content will be available through November 15, 2021.

**ENT Residents and Fellows in-person registration fees from Florida Otolaryngology programs will be covered by FSO-HNS. Please provide documentation of your status with a letter from your faculty mentor. All others will be billed $199 to attend.

Attendee Cancelation Policy

Cancelation Policy for Onsite Registration Only: Cancelation requests must be received in writing via email at support@fcomnow.com no later than September 17, 2021. Cancelations received by September 17, 2021 will receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee. Registrants wishing to cancel may send someone to take their place without penalty if they send a written request with the replacement person’s name by October 1, 2021. No refunds will be issued after September 17, 2021. If you do not cancel and do not attend the event, you are still responsible for the full payment. Cancelations for hotel and transportation reservations must be handled by the individual registrant directly with the hotel, airline, and/or other company. Payments made may not be applied toward tuition for future FCOM Summit Events, nor other meetings or products offered by the Florida Combined Otolaryngology Meeting partners. No refunds are offered for sessions that may be suspended or shortened due to weather or other conditions or circumstances beyond FCOM’s control. However, if FCOM, acting in its sole discretion, determines that the November 2021 In-Person Event shall be canceled or postponed due to the effects of COVID-19, all registrations will be transferred to the next scheduled event, FCOM 2022.

Cancelation Policy for Virtual Registration:
Based on the virtual design of the FCOM 2021 annual summit, attendees will have access to the majority of education sessions and content until November 14, 2021. Registrations cancelled within 24 business hours of purchase are eligible for a full refund; however, we are not able to process refunds after that time. Registrations are non-transferable.
