Among the most common complaints reported in ENT offices by patients, is that of dizziness and imbalance. These symptoms are presented by individuals across the lifespan with a greater prevalence in the older adult patient. The majority of these patients present with chronic conditions and often are not candidates for medical or surgical management. As a result, many patients are left with few options and often are told “learn to leave with it” or sent off to therapy without an actual diagnosis of the functional impairment to be treated.
