Session Description
We will review the ever increasing evidence for and against the use of balloon dilation of the sinuses (BDS) in a variety of circumstances. Additionally, some time will be spent discussing the relatively recent AAO-HNS/F Clinical Consensus Statement on Balloon Dilation of the Sinuses.
Session Objectives
After attending this activity, attendees will be able to:
1. Acknowledge the controversies surrounding BDS
2. Describe specific circumstances when BDS is appropriate
3. Stipulate instances where available evidence for BDS is lacking
