Session Description
The 25th year of the annual NFO Business of Medicine update features speakers from the regulatory, political, medical, and business world as it pertains to our specialty. This year, we have Dr. James Denneny returning to give the national update as the Executive Vice President of the AAOHNS. We are thrilled that one of our own, Dr. Michael Patete, is the current President of the FMA, and he will deliver his perspective regarding pertinent state specific issues. We follow with two amazing Pipeline panels, whose mission is to combine the perspectives from both the medical community and the industrial/engineering community of what is ‘the next great thing to come’ in our specialty. The two panels as part of the Business of Medicine meeting cover Rhinology and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. They are wonderful opportunities for our attendees to interact with the people responsible for developing the tools we use to continue to improve our interventional abilities. We will conclude with presentation of the NFO Otolaryngologist of the Year Award, given each year to that practitioner who epitomizes what we admire most in our peers.
