Session Description

Reanimation of the paralyzed face will be discussed including contemporary surgical approaches along with their indications and results.

Session Objectives

After attending this activity, attendees will be able to:

1. Understand five guiding principles for dynamic reanimation of the paralyzed face

2. Differentiate between acute reversible paralysis and chronic irreversible paralysis

3. Describe contemporary surgical strategies for dynamic smile restoration

4. Recognize the importance of timing with case examples pertinent to the otolaryngologist
