This lecture will introduce the learner to common benign salivary conditions which can be treated with gland preservation. Salivary endoscopes have expanded the ability to treat benign salivary disorders, however the use of these scopes are not without limitations. The course will review salivary disorders that can be safely and effectively managed without salivary endoscopes, and teach surgical techniques that allow this approach. The course will likewise highlight conditions and techniques which are best managed at centers with endoscopic technology. The goal is to improve local access to care and excellent outcomes for patients with benign salivary disorders.
