Session Description

The Earlens system is custom manufactured for each patient in Menlo Park, California using cutting edge digital design and manufacturing technologies and innovative techniques. This session will trace the creation of a custom Earlens system, from arrival of a full-canal earmold impression through scanning, digital design, 3D printing, molding, assembly, test, quality assurance, packaging and shipment to your practice.

Session Objectives

After attending this activity, attendees will be able to:

1. Describe design challenges that arise from the unique anatomical features of different ears

2. List three cutting edge technologies used in the design and manufacture of Earlens systems

3. Name two key impression ‘defects’ that could impact the fit, comfort or performance of the Earlens Lens
