Session Description

Patients with conductive hearing loss are typically considered surgical candidates for hearing restoration. With the available technology today developed for conductive hearing loss, there are a number of considerations for the surgeon when educating the patient on the options for treatment as well as making recommendations for treatment approach.

1. Discuss etiologies surrounding conductive hearing loss

2. List available approaches to treating conductive hearing loss

3. Describe the reasons why surgery may not be the best option for hearing restoration
