Speaker FAQs
I’m presenting in-person at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Resort – why do I need to pre-record my session?
FCOM is a hybrid meeting – we are expecting a robust audience both in-person and online. Click HERE to download the overview of speakers and unique sessions.
You will be presenting in-person LIVE to the Naples attendees. However, we will also be managing a virtual audience. Some of the featured FCOM sessions will be premiered for the virtual audience after the in-person session is complete; this is where your pre-recorded sessions will be utilized. If it has not been specifically arranged, you are not expected to join online for live question and answer, these will be for viewing only.
If for some reason, you choose to opt out of pre-recording and only participate in the LIVE session, please let us know your decision. We will communicate it with the education committee. You can email us HERE (support@fcomnow.com).
I will only be presenting VIRTUALLY; I will NOT be onsite in Naples. Do I still need to pre-record my session?
Although most sessions will also be presented in-person, we are asking that even those speakers that will be delivering their session virtually pre-record for delivery in the virtual agenda. Even if you have agreed to be online to answer questions and interact with the audience, it is easier to contribute thoughtfully if you don’t have the pressure of presenting, reading comments & questions and answering attendees..
When your session is premiered in the virtual attendee agenda, we will play your recorded presentation, and if you have agreed to be available for questions, you will be logged into the session as the presenter and able to use your computer to interact with the attendees, comment, and answer questions. More information about participating in your Premier+ session will be provided during your training session the week prior to the conference.
What if I want to present live, not pre-recorded, to the virtual audience?
If it is your preference to present live, we will communicate it to the education committee. It is the committee’s preference, to mitigate risk to the virtual attendee experience, to have the sessions pre-recorded; that way, if internet connection goes down or something unexpected happens the day of the presentation, the show will go on. However, if it is your preference to only present live; let us know at support@fcomnow.com and we will make the arrangements!
What about the panels? Are we pre-recording?
Panel discussions will NOT be pre-recorded. If you are a panelist, the panel moderator will reach out to coordinate the session expectations and assure the group is prepared for the presentation.
I’m not done! I need an extension.
We get it. And that’s ok, let us know you need more time by sending us an email at support@fcomnow.com This year, we have over 130 speakers and more than 150 unique sessions available to our attendees! We will begin the work of loading our virtual meeting environment the first week of October. Please help us deliver an excellent meeting by working within the timelines as best as possible.
So there is a Virtual and an In-Person meeting? How does that work?
FCOM is a hybrid meeting – we are expecting a robust audience both in-person and online. Click HERE to download the overview of speakers and unique sessions.
I can’t be present for the virtual presentation. Will there be a way for participants to ask questions?
To promote the interactivity and immersive experience so desired by meeting attendees and speakers, we encourage you to participate during the virtual presentation if possible. If factors prohibit your live participation, please be sure to place your email address prominently on your final slides and encourage viewers to reach out directly with questions.
Who will have access to view my presentation?
All participants must register for FCOM to gain access to the virtual meeting rooms. Only individuals with confirmed registrations will be able to view presentations—either live or on demand as recorded, archived sessions.
After the conference has concluded, on-demand virtual agenda content will be available for viewing for 7 days.
How long will my presentation be available online?
Archived sessions will remain on the FCOM virtual meeting site for 7 days after the conference concludes.
Note that archived sessions are accessible to 2021 FCOM registrants only. The individual must log in with the same account information used when registering.
Will individuals be able to download my video presentation?
