This session will review three main topics: 1. Anatomy of the paranasal sinuses, 2. acute sinusitis versus chronic sinusitis and 3. the medical and surgical management associated with sinusitis

1. Gain basic knowledge of the anatomy of the nose and paranasal sinuses
2. Explain the difference between acute and chronic rhinosinusitis
3. Identify the most common clinical presentation of CRS
4. Assess the medical management of chronic rhinitis
