Session Description

Clinical trials have been used for decades to advance medicine in the areas of medications, procedures, and treatments. Currently there are over 227 clinical trials in the hearing loss arena. Recently there has been a significant interest in the sensorineural hearing loss area, i.e. sudden onset, age related, noise induced just to mention a few. During this panel we will discuss some of the most recent and ongoing clinical trials and the discuss the nuances of clinical trials as it differs from standard clinical audiological practices and the challenges as well as rewards of participating in a clinical trial.
