About Drew Dundas

Drew Dundas, PhD, is the Vice President of Research & Development at Earlens Corporation, where he coordinates development efforts across the R&D, clinical, marketing, and field support teams. Dr. Dundas was the President and CTO of Soundhawk Corporation, an industry first, direct-to-consumer fully customizable hearing device targeted to the mildly hearing-impaired population, and former Director of Audiology at UCSF Medical Center. He was a research Audiologist at Starkey Hearing Technologies, involved in the development of fitting algorithms, signal processing techniques, and compressor design. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a PhD in audiology and biomedical engineering, The University of Akron and McMaster University, and completed his clinical training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Dundas has published original research related to hearing device performance, device fitting, prescriptive approaches, cochlear function, hearing instrument fitting, and signal processing technique performance, as well as authored reference chapters regarding balance function assessment.
