About Richard Gans

Dr. Gans received his PhD from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in Auditory-Vestibular Physiology and Neuropsychology. He has served as an adjunct Professor for numerous universities including; University of Pittsburgh, Nova Southeastern and University of South Florida. He has presented 150 invited talks in 35 countries and is the author of dozens of research papers and textbook chapters. He is presently an NIH co-investigator on an impact of hearing loss on balance research project. Dr. Gans is the Founder and CEO of the American Institute of Balance, a global health care organization based in Tampa Bay. The AIB provides direct patient care through its network of affiliated physicians, education-training and certification of rehabilitation specialists in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion. Nationwide, the AIB has 70 Otolaryngology-Neurology and Audiology practices participating in its Centers of Specialty Care Neurodiagnostic Network and Partners in Balance Network of 3,500 AIB Certified therapists.
